The Junior Infants were extremely this year during Maths Week. They were making sets of 1, 2 and 3 using counting objects. They went on a Maths trail with their Sixth Class buddies. The children learned about heavy and light using a balance scales. The class also created a wall for Humpty Dumpty. We listened to a story called Ten Black Dots and from this the class created their own drawings and sketches based on dots, for example 5 dots were used to draw a coat with 5 buttons on it.
