We have been very busy in 5th class over the past few weeks planting various seeds in this season of Spring 🌱 We started out with some cress seeds that germinated and grew very quickly; we even managed to harvest them within a few days! We also received our Incredible Edible packs and sowed our seed potatoes, strawberries and shallots 🥔 🍓 🧅 Next we sowed our vegetable seeds in recycled, compostable containers and will soon plant these out into our raised beds. Finally we sowed some sunflower seeds and they have just begun to sprout, we will be taking them home this week and will be checking for updates on their growth in the future 🌻 We also were very happy to receive 15 native Irish tree saplings from One Million Trees We planted these out by the Sensory garden and cannot wait to see them grow 🌳 We have learned so much about seeds, plants and vegetables and we are excited to witness their growing progress!
