Girls Gaelic Football County Final
The 6th and 5th class girls played Ballyhale in their Gaelic Football County Final on Saturday the 19th of November. The girls got up bright and early and got on a bus to Dicksboro GAA pitch. Throw in was meant to be at 9:30 but unfortunately the pitch was very frosty so the game only got started at 10 o'clock. Mia Rusnak in 6th Class was the captain on the day and showed a fantastic performance and sportsmanship. Mullinavat played extremely well and it was a very tight game but in the end Ballyhale won by just a goal. As a school, we are extremely proud of the girls for never giving up throughout the season. This is the first year that our girls Gaelic Football Team have ever gotten to a county final so a huge Maith Thú to the girls. We have high hopes for the girls Gaelic Football teams over the next few years. Finally, a huge thanks to Ms Murphy and Ms Kervick for looking after the girls Gaelic Football this year. Hopefully the girls do well in their Mini Sevens Semi-Final that is coming up soon as well.
