On Monday February the 10th a quiz team consisting of Martin Raftice, Bria Wall, Oisin Butler and Patrick Raftice won the first round of the St Dominic's Credit Union quiz. It was held in Dooley's Hotel in Waterford. There were 72 questions divided into 12 different rounds consisting of 6 questions per round. We scored 63 out of 72 questions. The 2nd place team Slieverue were only a single point behind us. We each got a medal and a 40 euro One4all voucher and a plaque for the school.
We now go to the second round of the competition which will be held in Dungarvan. We are looking forward to it. If we progress we will be into the final which will be in Dublin but we would have to practice a lot and learn. We think we have a chance to get to the final. We did really well and tried hard to win and in the end we did win. Out of 34 teams we came in first place which is a great achievement and we hope we can progress even further. If we get to the final it will be held in the RDS in Dublin. The other Credit Union team in under 13s came 6th.
