Sixth class enjoyed gymnastics and cycle Safety on Monday. In gymnastics, the children took turns to balance, stretch, jump, crab, and do splits. Our yard was transformed into a road network with busy junctions for the afternoon. The children braced the wet conditions as they learned how to safely navigate right hand turns off a main road, and turning left or right at a t-junction. There was plenty of opportunity to practice slowing down to round corners, indicate, and perform a life saving look before taking a turn.
